Russian national team goalkeeper Ilya Samsonov:
- I didn't mind if I conceded one, two, three of five goals...well, maybe it would have been bad if I had let in five. The main thing is that the team won! It was a great match, I have amazing emotions after playing my first game for the senior national team side. It was important to not give in after conceding two goals. I didn't speak with Metallurg Magnitogorsk teammate Jan Kovar on the ice. In comparison to junior level, here you can't make as many mistakes. Any mishap is punished at the Euro Hockey Tour, the pace is higher. Kirill Kaprizov is always with me, I am tired of seeing him!
Russian national team forward Vladimir Tkachyov:
- The young guys really wanted to win, they tried hard. In the second period, I failed to take advantage of my penalty shot, I made a bad play. Nevertheless, the result is the most important thing. Anatoly Golyshev and Kirill Kaprizov are masters of what they do, we tried to speak as much as we could off the ice as to make our job in matches easier. I enjoyed playing with them. The Sibir Novosibirsk players did a good job today, they made full use of their goalscoring chances. We will try to continue winning in the future.
Russian national team forward Maxim Shalunov:
- I can't explain why my line scored only in the third match but I am satisfied that we managed to improve every game and in the most important match we scored three goals. Maybe, we had a hard job switching off from our Sibir duties. At international team, everything is faster, you have less time to make a decision. All matches at the competition were hard, however no one said that it would be easy. It's nice to win the Euro Hockey Tour for the first time in four years. Captain Stepan Sannikov didn't earn any points, but did you see how happy he was with the trophy afterwards?
